Advance WBS Element “Advance Account Request” (Current restricted (R) and agency (N) funds)
This form is to be used to request R or N WBS elements, including gifts and sponsored projects. If the request is for a sponsored project, the proposal number assigned by the Office of Research should be included on the form. Proposals that have not been entered into the research system will result in a delay establishing the requested WBS element. Please forward the completed and signed form to your Campus Business Office. Questions about your proposal can be answered by the Office of Research at (865) 974-3466 or email@example.com.

Changing WBS Elements
Please send all Sponsored Projects WBSE change forms to Carol Malkemus. Your requests will then be routed accordingly.
Please send all Gift WBSE change forms to the Office of Budget and Finance. Your requests will then be routed accordingly.
Closeout of WBS Elements
Every R WBS element requires a Schedule of Final Charges (SFC) form to ensure the timely and compliant closeout of the award. All SFCs must be reviewed and signed by the PI of the project before the due date in compliance with Knoxville Campus Fiscal Policy. If you need guidance filling out this form, please contact the SPA accountant for your account. Additional training material for SFCs may be found HERE.
